THE PRO-AMERICA/PRO-MINUTEMEN/PRO-LAW ENFORCEMENT RALLY A state-sponsored rally was held on the steps of the Texas State Capitol building on Oct. 1st, 2005 to show support for America, the Texas Minutemen, and Law Enforcement. About 100 people attended the rally and anti-Minutemen protesters were allowed to gather very closeby - so close that the rally's speakers were hard to hear. In the past, protesters are usually kept off the Capitol grounds - they are supposed to gather on the steps at the Capitol's gates. Two groups of activists were protesting the event - the Anti-Racist Action (ARA) and the International Socialist Organization. The Texas DPS kept the groups apart - no arrests nor violence occurred. There are pictures and links to video clips on this page. (THE VIDEOS
